Synthetic Rubber is made by the polymerization of a variety of petroleum based precursors called monomers. Synthetic rubber doesnot absorb heat. It i sdurable and long lasting. It is sound absorbent. It is quite easy to maintain.
We use synthetic rubber for the following:
- Running Tracks
- Tennis Courts & Walkways
- Indoor Flooring
For International Running tracks, Sandwich system is followed, where in the composition consists of cast in situ SBR Granules mixed with PU binder. The wear layer is composed of mixed use , spike resistant EPDM granules embedded into liquid polyurethane at a standard thickness of 14.5 mm. The sub base can be asphalt or concrete.
For baseball and other courts, we follow layer system, where in the composition is of SBR granules plus PU binder at a thickness of 8 mm. The wear layer is a mixture of EPDM granules and PU binder laid at a thickness of 8 mm. The sub base can be asphalt or concrete.
The rubber used in Indoor flooring is too flexible . It consists of a rubber mat base layer. The top layers consist of self leveling polyurethane chemical applied in coats. The sub base is always concrete.
In rubber playground the base layer consists of cast in situ SBR granules mixed with PU binder . The thickness varies according to the critical fall height of the playground equipment. The Wear layer is a mixture of EPDM granules and PU binder laid at a thickness of 10 mm.
